San Francisco et Cocorna

As for San Rafael, San Carlos, San Luis and Canyon de Rio Claro, we come to this area for its water, surrounding nature, activities and places to stay. San Francisco attracts us with its waterfalls, especially El Tagual waterfall (entry by the roadside), rafting down Rio Calderas close by, a half a day activity that takes you across the jungle via nice rapids, the whole thing safely as 1 or 2 kayaks will accompany us in case we overturn. Easy access to the river as it is conveniently located right by the Medellin-Bogota highway. You can also go abseiling. And we can stay at the hostel belonging to a French friend, who is also a very good cook.

In Cocorna, we can stay at a beautiful eco-lodge, with its bamboo cabins. We can relax in rock pools, Jacuzzis, hammams, or enjoy a relaxing massage. It also is a nice spot to paraglide, abseil waterfalls, go canyoning or walking.
