The Coffee Region in Colombia

Our interest for this region is the mountain, and high mountain. It is possible to drive a car all the way to 4850m of altitude, higher than the Mont-Blanc; and then keep on going on foot to the snowy peaks accompanied by professional guides, 5300m maximum. As it also is a volcanic region, you can find lots of therms. Between 3000m and 3500m of altitude, you go through the “paramos” landscapes; unique ecosystems where rivers start their journeys. Climbing up from 1800m to the top, we can truly witness the evolution and variety of wildlife and vegetation, it is stunning. The Quindo area, a bit lower compared to the rest, is marked by several beautiful villages, lots of coffee plantations, rivers and amazing landscapes coming with it.
