Fredonia
This typical small village of Antioquia has the reputation to be the place where coffee cultivation originated from. Thus you can visit a lot of fincas of coffee there. It is situated 60kms South of Medellin, so about 1h30 drive. The village is surrounded by mountains, 2 of them well-known for their hikes, taking you to their respective summits: Cerro Bravo (summit at 2600m), and Cerro Tusa (summit at 1850m), easily recognizable due to its perfect pyramid shape (even if lower than Cerro Bravo, it is very sharp and climbing to the top is quite testing). There are lots of walk trails around, like everywhere in Antioquia, and numerous streams, rivers and waterfalls to dip in.
